MSI Unveils X-Slim X360 Thin-and-Light Core i5 Notebook

Micro-Star International has the MSI-X-Slim X360 fashionable thin and light notebook that a 13-inch display and the latest Intel Core i5 Ultra Low Voltage processor has been released.

The X-Slim X360 weighs about 3.086 pounds and is less than an inch thick. It has a core i5 520UM CPU with integrated Intel HD integrated graphics, up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM, up to 500 GB of hard drive space, 4 or 8-cell battery for up to 9 hours of battery life and Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.

The glare type display has a resolution of 1366 768 pixels.

LG X200 Netbook

LG has a new netbook added to their line-up with the introduction of the LG X200. The LG Netbook X200 has Intel’s new Pine Trail platform and comes with a 1.66GHz Intel Atom Processor, 1 GB of RAM and features Intel GMA 3150 graphics.

Some other specs include a chicklet-style keyboard, a 250GB hard drive, 802.11n WiFi and a few USB ports. The netbook weighs about 2.7 kilograms.

Samsung is working on a 10-inch Chrome OS netbook

We do not have images or even a release date, but Samsung is Phil Newton has confirmed that the company will release a Chrome OS netbook later this year, according to a report from News Channel in Australia. The laptop will be similar to the N210 image () and feature a 10.1-inch screen, 3G, WiFi, 2 GB RAM, 64 GB of flash memory and a 12 hours battery life.

HP launches first smartbook as Compaq Airlife 100

The next generation of Intel’s netbook-friendly Atom CPU has been officially announced. These chips are set to be more compact, while still reducing power consumption, and could actually represent a paradigm shift in netbooks.

Intel Atom N450 Pine Trail, D410 and D510 CPUs have just been announced. The 1.66 GHz processors will integrate the memory controller and Intel graphics directly onto the processor, the overall efficiency should be increased. The N450 is netbooks targeted at the D-class chips will be aimed at Nettops.

Battery life is expected to be increased in netbooks, nettops as a result of using this chip, and the small size makes it even better for smaller devices.
